As a health coach and developer of MOL&B Copenhagen, it is important for me to see the skin in a broader perspective. The skin is the body’s largest organ, and it strongly reflects how we feel on the inside. Therefore, skincare is not only about products, but also about diet, habits, and balance.
One of the most effective habits you can introduce is to start the day with a large glass of lukewarm water – half boiled and half cold – with the juice of a freshly squeezed lemon. If you want to do something extra good for your system, you can add half a teaspoon of Manuka honey, which has anti-inflammatory properties, and a tablespoon of organic, unfiltered apple cider vinegar. This simple drink can help the body balance its pH level, support the immune system, and create a solid foundation for healthy skin. It is beneficial to wait half an hour before eating breakfast, so the body has time to absorb the good nutrients.
Diet plays a major role in the balance of the skin. When the skin reacts with breakouts, it can often be related to what you eat and drink. Therefore, I recommend reducing sugar and dairy products, as they can worsen acne, and instead eat plenty of vegetables with every meal throughout the day. It is also an advantage to stick to three main meals rather than many small snacks, so the digestive system gets breaks during the day. Water is an important part of skin health, but it should be consumed between meals and not during, as fluids can dilute bile and reduce the absorption of food.
When we talk about skincare from the outside, I recommend a consistent and gentle routine morning and evening. The products from MOL&B Copenhagen are developed to work in synergy with the skin and support its natural balance. The routine consists of cleansing, followed by toner, then Body & Face Oil, which is gently massaged into the irritated areas, and finally serum and regenerating cream. Makeup should ideally be avoided for a period, so the skin can breathe and recover. If you always choose to wear makeup, mineral makeup is the best choice, as it is gentler on the skin.
